As we all know, O’Hare is one of the busiest airports in the world. In 2019 we were topping the 900,000 flight operations. Due to this, building a new aircraft deicing facility has become a game changer for all operations, especially during winter.

ORD Terminal 5 Concourse M Extension

ORD Terminal 5 Expansion is one of the biggest projects that is taking place at O’Hare at this time. This project is part of the O’Hare -21 program. After registering over 80 million passengers in 2018, it was more than sufficient to consider a new expansion in Terminal 5.

MWRD of GC Tollway Dam, Grout Curtain and Quarry Plugs

The work consists of construction of a 208’ wide by 116’ tall roller compacted concrete gap dam; construction of reinforced concrete quarry plugs; Construction of a 9,425-foot double-row grout curtain extending around the perimeter of the Reservoir to depths of 550 feet below ground; and installation of associated instrumentation.

Defense Logistics Agency Fire Suppression Upgrade – Hammond Depot

This project consisted of upgrading an old fire suppression system in three warehouses for the Department of Defense- Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Strategic Materials Hammond Depot. Cabo Construction provided Labor, Administrative Support as well as Contract Management on the project.

Wacker Drive / Congress Parkway Interchange Improvements

Scope included, but not limited to the demolition of existing interchange roadways, including tunnels; existing foundation rehab; deck and beam replacement, widening of the Congress Parkway fixed spans; and new tunnels from lower Wacker to westbound Congress.
