As we all know, O’Hare is one of the busiest airports in the world. In 2019 we were topping the 900,000 flight operations.  Due to this, building a new aircraft deicing facility has become a game changer for all operations, especially during winter.

ORD Terminal 5 Concourse M Extension

ORD Terminal 5 Expansion is one of the biggest projects that is taking place at O’Hare at this time. This project is part of the O’Hare -21 program. After registering over 80 million passengers in 2018, it was more than sufficient to consider a new expansion in Terminal 5.

Peoples Gas Central District Business Sub Shop

This new facility was designed to reduce maintenance cost, improve efficiency of customer responses, as well as providing safer traffic flow of employees. Also in the design they have created large meeting rooms for public use. 

MWRD of GC Tollway Dam, Grout Curtain and Quarry Plugs 

Water/Waste Water

The work consists of construction of a 208’ wide by 116’ tall roller compacted concrete gap dam; construction of reinforced concrete quarry plugs; Construction of a 9,425-foot double-row grout curtain extending around the perimeter of the Reservoir to depths of 550 feet below ground; and installation of associated instrumentation.

ISTHA Contract I-13-4629 Road and Bridge Reconstruction  

Transportation 

Scope included, but not limited to the installation of; 800 LF of 24 Inch RCP Storm Sewer; 400 LF of 16-Inch water Main; 16-Inch Gate Valve; IDOT Catch Basin and Manhole; CA-6 aggregate stone base.

O’Hare Modernization Program: South Airfield Runway 10R-28L Site

Scope included, but not limited to the installation of: New Water Main; storm sewer and sanitary sewer for a new runway at the south expansion of the airport.  

Defense Logistics Agency Fire Suppression Upgrade – Hammond Depot

This project consisted of upgrading an old fire suppression system in three warehouses for the Department of Defense- Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Strategic Materials Hammond Depot. Cabo Construction provided Labor, Administrative Support as well as Contract Management on the project.

Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District 

Water/Waste Water

Scope included, but not limited to the installation of: Raw sewage meter vault; potable & non-potable water lines; digested sludge line; waste gas; waste activated digested sludge piping; plug & gate valve; fire hydrants & yard hydrants.

Center Street Reconstruction

Transportation 

Scope included, but not limited to the installation of: 12,000 LF of subsurface pavement drain; geo-textile fabric; underdrain inspection structure; underdrain clean outs. New installation of water main, storm sewer and sanitary sewer.  

IDOT Contract 62A77 SB Kennedy Mainline 

Transportation

This project consists of 9,508 FT construction and widening the Kennedy mainline Expressway NB from Roosevelt Rd. to Lake/Madison Street. Construction/rehab of 10 retention walls total, lighting, ITS, and interstate resurfacing. 

Wacker Drive / Congress Parkway Interchange Improvements  

Transportation

Scope included, but not limited to the demolition of existing interchange roadways, including tunnels; existing foundation rehab; deck and beam replacement, widening of the Congress Parkway fixed spans; and new tunnels from lower Wacker to westbound Congress.
